Grounding & Connecting to Mother Earth
Grounding is the connection between our skin and the Earth. Our bodies and the Earth share a frequency, which makes the Earth our battery. We physically depend on the Earth to keep us alive. When we connect with Mother Earth, we are healing ourselves in so many ways. Once I learned the importance of grounding, I began to spend more time outside with my shoes off. I began to remember when I was a child that my mother could never keep shoes on my feet. My feet looked like the ones in this picture every day during the Summer. Going into the woods was my favorite place to be.
As we leave our childhood, we get caught up in the programming of collecting stuff. We spend our time watching that box in the living room or on the computer. Even time spent outside of our homes is most often in another building and we walk with shoes on our feet. When is the last time you walked on the Earth barefoot? It is time to start experiencing the benefits of grounding. Think of it as "recharging your battery"
I began grounding by taking walks around my yard without shoes on. Sitting on the ground and placing my palms on the ground. Talking to the plants and trees. Touching the flowers. Do whatever calls you to nature. Express your gratitude to Mother Earth for providing you with everything you need. I spend most of my time in nature.
